Yummy & Easy Baked Chicken
Aug 17
Only Five Ingredients, Done in About a Hour
This has to one be one of the easiest chicken dishes I have ever made. The ingredients are very simple: salt, pepper, garlic powder, Italian dressing and olive oil.
The aroma from this dish will fill your home and cause everyone to start asking, “Is it done yet?”
I’m not a very precise cook, so I usually just add a little of this or that until it looks right. Feel free to do the same.
Ingredients
Salt (To taste)
Pepper (To taste — we prefer cracked black pepper, and we usually use around 1/2 tablespoon.)
Garlic Powder (To taste — we usually use around 1/2 tablespoon.)
1 TBSP Olive Oil
1 Cup Italian Dressing (any brand will work)
4 Chicken Breasts (with or without skin)
Place chicken breasts in a shallow pan and cover with Italian dressing and olive oil. Next drizzle garlic powder over the chicken, making sure to disperse evenly. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cover with aluminum foil, and place in a 350 degree oven for about an hour.
Within 20 minutes, the savory smell will envelope your kitchen. Mmmm … you can almost taste it now.
Remove foil for the last 5 – 10 minutes to brown chicken. Caution removing it too early in the process could lead to a dry chicken, and no one likes that.
Enjoy!
P.S. This works with frozen chicken. Increase cooking time to about two hours.
