OCD Writer Seeks Pen, Paper, or Laptop ASAP

Yes, it’s true… I must confess.

I’m a little obsessive about writing.  Descriptive phrases, action verbs, scenes, dialogues and more dance around inside my head just waiting to escape.  And they will escape me, if I don’t find someway to preserve them immediately.  I can’t tell you how many great ideas have waltzed out of my brain, because I didn’t stop and record the words.

The best ideas come to me when I’m asleep. Lying in bed, I can feel a surge of creativity oozing in my brain. Thousands of tiny words flying from my thoughts, if only, I could hold on long enough to let them out.

It’s like that Maxell commercial from 80′s. You know the one … the ” blown away” guy sitting in an armchair in front of a tiny sound system who literally gets blown away when it’s turned on.

Sometimes, I’m that guy, and my thoughts are like the sound waves rushing out of me seeking survival of their own.
